Get answers to common questions about SUGARING Underarms.
Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles. Regular sugaring often extends intervals as follicles weaken; follow-up appointments are recommended to maintain results.
Many clients report less discomfort than waxing because sugaring adheres to hair, not skin, and uses paste at a milder temperature. Sensitivity varies; trained technicians use quick, precise technique and soothing aftercare to minimize pain.
Avoid shaving for at least two weeks so hair reaches about 1/4 inch. Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before, and skip deodorant, heavy lotions, or sun exposure on the day for best results and hygiene.
We use organic, natural paste and offer patch tests for sensitive clients. Always inform your technician about allergies, medications, or recent treatments. Some conditions may require medical clearance or an alternative approach.
Wait at least two weeks after shaving so hair is long enough for sugaring, ideally around 1/4 inch. Adequate length ensures the paste grips hair fully and removes it cleanly from the root.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy sweating, and deodorants for 24 hours. Keep the area clean, wear breathable fabrics, and gently exfoliate after 48–72 hours to reduce ingrown hairs. Use fragrance-free moisturizers if needed.
